An Egyptian actor, born to an artistic family. He is the son of Fouad Shafik, and his uncle is Hussein Riad. He began his artistic activity in the sixties and worked in cinema, theater, and television. He is best known for his roles in Case 68 (1968) and The Beggar (1973). He played the role of director Khawaja Simon in the 1969 movie Agent 77.
