Egyptian director and writer, holds a Bachelor of Arts, Department of Journalism in 1961 and a MA in African Studies in 1967. He worked as a press editor for Rose El-Youssef magazine. His beginnings in cinematic work was by writing scripts, and his first film was For Women Only...Read more (1962). His directorial debut was the movie No .. My Mother (1979). He's known for Play in the Open, The Market, and Suicide of a High School Teacher.
