An Egyptian actress, born in Port Said in 1929, she joined the Faculty of Arts, the English Department, and then the Higher Institute of Acting Art. She joined the radio and then worked in the theater, and traveled with the Dean of Arab Theater (Youssef Wehbe) to Paris and presented many works in the Modern Egyptian Troupe in 1954. Aunty Bamba is considered the defining character in her career, which she played in the mid-1960s. She's also known for the films Shafiqa and Metwally, The Impossible and Raya and Sakina. She appeared on the silver screen through the series: The Dougari Family, Cairo and the People and The Waterwheel.
