Sherif Hamouda is an Egyptian director born on January 6, 1926. He began his professional life at the beginning of the 1950s as an assistant director for the films Without Farewell in 1951, The Respectable Thief in 1953, and Demons of the Air in 1956. He directed the first of his long, narrative films in 1985 entitled Traders of Poisons. Hamouda also starred in a number of films, including Wahiba the Gypsy Queen in 1951, The Brown-skinned Woman of Sinai in 1959, Love on the Miami Shore in 1976. He also wrote screenplays for several films: The Final Visit in 1986, Betrayal in 1989, and Three Critical Hours.
