An Egyptian journalist, author and screenwriter, whose beginning in journalism was in 1946 in Al-Masaa newspaper and then Al-Nida newspaper. He wrote the script for the series Zainab and the Throne, and the movie The Farmer, based on the story by Abdel Rahman Al-Sharqawi, but it never came to fruition. He worked in the newspapers Akhbar El-Yom and Akher Sa'a, he also worked in Rosa al-Yusuf, then he became its editor-in-chief, only to be removed from his post after publishing an article criticizing President Sadat. He was also arrested and imprisoned for several years for objecting to the nationalization of press institutions.
