He was fluent in many languages, including English, French and Russian, and the audience...Read more knew him when he starred in Tawfiq al-Hakim's play Food for Every Mouth, which was broadcast on television in the early sixties. The peak of his brilliance was the role of the fighter Ali Taha in Naguib Mahfouz's masterpiece Cairo 30, directed by Salah Abu Seif in 1966. Then he turned to television to participate in several series, including: Egyptian Journals, and The Waterwheel.
