An Egyptian director, born on March 6, 1916. He began his artistic life by practicing translation and art criticism since 1937. He worked as an assistant director since 1939 with a number of directors, including Kamal Selim and Kamal El-Telmessani. He worked as head of the script department at Studio Misr and then as production director, where he gained great experience in directing. He contributed in the establishment of the Higher Cinema Institute and its library. Among the movie in which he starred are Struggle in the Valley (1954) and Our Good Days (1955). He died on November 18, 1971
