An Egyptian television and film director, born in Zagazig. He obtained a Bachelor of Law from Ain Shams University in 1962, then took training courses in television directing in Germany and Britain in the sixties and obtained a television diploma from London in 1971. He made his debut in the television series Ashgan (1960). He is best known for directing the series Tears in Bold Eyes (1980) and the famous TV series Raafat Al-Haggan (1988-1990).
