Fayez Ahmed Mohamed Halawa is a theatre actor and director who was born in Quweisna in 1932. He received his law degree from Ein Shams University in 1959 and worked as a lawyer before moving into radio. Halawa worked for a number of radio programs including Everyday Game but he is most famous for his political plays. He was married to dancer Tahiya Karioka and later married television announcer Ferial Salah. Halawa has written numerous newspaper articles on various plays including Long Live El Wafd, Wedding Crashers, Backflip and His Highness the Landlord. He also appeared in the film The Malatily Bathhouse.
