An Egyptian actress, who started acting in the early thirties on stage, as she joined el-Rihani's troupe. In 1929, she joined Fatima Rushdi's troupe as a singer, then she worked with Badia Masabni and acted with Bishara Wakim in many plays, then she joined Hassan El Baroudi's troupe in 1935. She formed a theatrical company in 1955. Her roles varied between films and plays, and among her most prominent films: Raya and Sakina, The Warm Nights, I Am the Past. She passed away in 1976.
