An Egyptian actor and singer, born in the Bab El Sharia neighborhood in 1912. After deciding to work in the artistic field, he joined a number of theatrical troupes, as he worked in Badia Masabni's casino, with Mounira El Mahdeya's troupe, and with Ali El Kassar's. He recorded a number of operettas and songs on the Egyptian radio. He also starred in a number of films, most of which were in the forties, including: Aida, and Down with Love. He retired after being injured in a car accident in Alexandria. He died of cancer in 1986 at the age of 74.
