Salaaheddeen Ahmad Nazmy who was born in Moharram beik Alexandria lost his father 6 months after his birth. Salaah went to American Mission schools. He started his acting career in the theatre where he worked in; “Butterfly”, “Al-Ameer wal-Mamlouk i.e. The Prince and the Mamluk” and “Maysa” plays . He worked with Fatma Roushdy troupe then at Ramses Theatre. Among his plays in the 1960s is “Bamba Kashar”. Salaah married in 1950 and has one son Hussein who graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts and who has participated in only 7 films one of which was “Anf wa thalaath ‘oyoun i.e. A Nose and three eyes”. He also wrote the script of TV film “Al-mottaham i.e. The accused” and “Sa’at al-sefr i.e. Zero hour” for the silver screen.
