Egyptian cinematographer, director, and producer. He worked as an assistant director on many films in the 1950s and early 1960s, such as Witness, People (1953), Melody of Devotion (1955), and Why Am I Living? (1961). He worked as a cinematographer in the 1960s on films like Please Kill Me (1965), and For a Few Children (1969). He also produced a number of films including West Side Story (1979) and Oh Graceful God (1983).
