An Egyptian director, screenwriter and author who was born on June 29, 1958 in a simple family living in El Manial, Cairo. Helmy studied with his four boys’ brothers in El Manial Schools. He presented many important works of art, including the movies Strange Tales (1992), Hysteria (1998) and The Dream Hunter (1988).
