He is a Tunisian actor and director. He obtained an acting diploma from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in 1955, and studied at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in Cairo. He appeared in many American, French, and Italian films and directed many plays in the French language. He also worked in Egypt and Tunisia. As a film actor, he won several awards as a theater director. He directed several Tunisian plays, whether adapted from international writers or authored by Tunisian writers, such as Evacuation, Murad III and others, most of which he acted in except for the play Marshal Ammar, which he only directed.
