An Egyptian actress, editor and producer of Lebanese origin, born in the town of Tannourine in northern Lebanon in 1916. She moved after the death of her father to live in Egypt with her mother and sister, and began her artistic career in 1929, by co-starring in Belle of Desert....Read more She continued to work in acting until the mid-fifties. Her film roles include: Magda, The Seventh Wife and Women Without Men. In addition to acting, Mary Queenie worked in editing during the 30s and 40s, and also produced a large number of films through her production company with her husband Ahmed Galal, including: The Nile Son, Bedour and Tomorrow Love Returns. She died in 2003 at the age of 87.
