An Egyptian composer, musician, poet, born on November 7, 1930. Abdel Wahab studied music and playing the oud at the Institute of Arab Music. His first song was for the singer Fayza Ahmed, entitled 'Don't Love Me Like This'. He collaborated with many singers, including Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Warda and Shadia. He also wrote the lyrics in a number of films, series and plays, including Rayya And Sekina (1982) and Mouths and Rabbits (1978). He passed away on January 16, 1996.
