Biography
A Syrian actor, born in Aleppo in 1922. He received his primary and preparatory education at the Al Faroukia School and obtained a certificate of preparatory education in 1936. He worked as an employee in the Aleppo City Council until his retirement, and he also taught the art of...Read more theatrical recitation at the Aleppo Institute of Music. He became a member of the National Acting Troupe in 1937, headed the Arab Acting Troupe in 1950, and founded and headed the Arab Acting Club for Literature and Arts between 1959 and 1990. He was the director of the People's Theater in Aleppo in 1978. Moreover, he participated in the Syrian film Wayfarer, in addition to participating in dramatic works on Radio Aleppo and in a large number of poetry evenings at the United Arab Society for Literature and Arts in Aleppo. Zareef Sabbagh died in July 1992.
