He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1994. His first big break was when he designed the costumes for the charades 'Flying Carpet', after which he worked in ART Kids. He worked as a stylist in video clips and charades, until he presented his first cinematic work, which was a short feature film directed by Hala Khalil and starring Khaled Saleh. From here, director Raafat El Mehi chose him to work with him in the movie Our Blessed Aunt (1998).
