Egyptian actress, who was born in Al-Shawareb alley, off Mohamed Ali Street in Cairo. Her father worked as a party performer and owned a musical instrument store. She worked with her father from a young age as a singer in wedding parties. She first appeared in cinema when she was young as one of Mr. Hamam's students in the movie The Flirtation of Girls (1949) with Naguib El Rehany. She got her first theatrical opportunity through the play 30 Days in Prison. She started her artistic work through the band "An Hour for Your Heart" in the 1950s, then she moved among many theater groups after obtaining a diploma from the Higher Institute of Acting. She's known for Marriage and Summer (1985), Stranger at My Home (1982), and Watch Out for Zuzu (1972). She died in 1986 of cancer, at age 48.
