An Egyptian actor and director, born in Cairo in 1939. He started acting from a young age through school theater during his studies at King Nasser Primary School in Sayeda Zeinab and up to the secondary stage at Saidia School. He initially joined the Faculty of Law, then he...Read more decided to move to the Institute of Social Work until he obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1962. After graduating, he applied in the national theater exams and was appointed. In addition to acting on the stage, he initially worked as an assistant director with a large number of theater directors such as Abdel Rahim Al-Zarqani and Saad Ardash. He was a theatre director for a number of plays until 1970. Afterwards he lived for 13 years between Algeria and France, and obtained a Phd from Paris in theatrical sociology. His work include the TV series Raafat Al-Haggan, Al-Halawani Gate, and the films Italia's War and Nasser 56.
