An Egyptian actress, who was born in Assiut as Josephine Sarkis. She loved cinema since her childhood, and studied in Notre Dame schools. She married Badr Lama, and worked with him in many of his films, but then she quit for a while. Director Sayed Ziada brought her back to work one last time in the movie The Last Meeting (1953), then she retired from the cinema for good and devoted herself to her children. She died in 2009 in Montreal, Canada.
