An Egyptian musician, guitarist and actor, born in Cairo, in 1945. He is the son of a cinematographer Ahmed Khorshed. He got a BA in Philosophy, and joined a Greek music institute at the age of 17, then formed the band Mega Tours, which he quit to join the band Les Petits Chats, which was his real breakthrough, as Abdel Halim Hafez saw him at a concert and asked him to join his band. He was the first to introduce the guitar to eastern bands, and then he collaborated with many singers, most notably Umm Kulthum, Fayza Ahmed. He began his film career with a role in the movie Dear Daughter (1971), after which he participated in many movies, including The Fortune Teller, and Emotion and Body, and among the most prominent movies which he scored are The Bullet Is Still in My Pocket, and Where Is My Mind ?. In May, 1981, he died in a tragic car accident.
