A Syrian director and writer, born in the province of Quneitra in 1956. He has a MA in Film Direction from the Higher Institute of Cinema in Kiev in 1982. He is a member of the Artists Syndicate since 1983. He has been working in the General Organization for Cinema since graduating until today. He participated in many Arab and international festivals and won several local and international awards. He presented to the General Film Organization a number of documentaries and fiction films, including: Friendship Stations (1986) and Something Is Burning.
