‘Adly ‘Abd Al Hamid Kassib was born in Cairo. He graduated from the Higher Institute for Acting in 1950 and started out with minor theater roles at the beginning of the 1950s. Thereafter he headed to cinema. ‘Adly has the ability to portray a variety of roles ranging from that of a villain to more comedic portrayals. His plays include “Illa Khamsa” (“Five to”), “Mareed bi al-Wahm” (“Illusory Illness”), “al-Tahazluqat” (“Pedantries”), “Denshawy al-Hamraa”, “Musmar Gohha” (“Gohha’s Nail”) and “’Ali fein ya Doussa” (“Doussa, Where’s Ali?”). He also took part in television series such as “Ahlam al-Fatta al-Tair”.
