Aida El Kashef is the daughter of renowned director Radwan El Kashef. She graduated from the High Cinema Institute in Cairo in 2009, specializing in film directing. Her graduation project, Rhapsody in Autumn, won several awards including the Silver Arab Muhr Award at the Dubai International Film Festival. After graduation, she worked on her own short projects as a director and producer. Her acting debut was in the Egyptian TV series The University. She participated in the movie A Boy and a Girl (2010), and was chosen by Indian director Anand Gandhi to participate in his movie Ship of Theseus (2012).
