  • An Egyptian director, born on May 5, 1968 in Cairo. His father is screenwriter Maher Ibrahim, and his uncle is the late artist Salah Kabil. He obtained an MA from Rome in 1993. His movie The Traveler was screened at the Venice Film Festival, becoming the second Egyptian film to be screened at the festival after An Egyptian Story by Youssef Chahine.
