Ghanem Al Saleh was born in the Sayed El ‘Awazim region near the Seif Palace in Kuwait. His father owned a store that sold dates and goods. In 1960 he got married and he has five children. He participated in establishing the Arab Theatre Troupe in 1961. In 1959 he worked in the Ministry of Justice in the Supreme Court of Appeals as court secretary in personal status and criminal cases until 1964. Afterwards, he started working at Kuwait Television and was appointed assistant to, and then head of, the department of television serials until he retired in 1983.
