A Kuwaiti actress, who was born in Kuwait in 1948 and moved with her family to the city of Mirqab when she was five years old after losing her father. She did not complete her primary school, but she mastered reading and writing in both Arabic and English. She worked with actor Hussein Al Qattan (Bu Jassum) who visited the hospital where she was working at the time and talked her into pursing an acting career. She debuted in the series Bu Jassum's Family (1962), after which she presented numerous TV series until she became one of the pioneers of Gulf drama. She is known for Auntie Qemasha, Wounds of Life, and The Kind Soliman.
