An Egyptian writer, born December 13, 1929 in Sohag. She obtained a diploma from the School of Embroidery Arts in 1951. She was a founding member of the Egyptian Writers Union, and a member of its board of directors. She was also a board member of the Story Club, the Writers Association and the Egyptian Cultural Club. She has over 200 short stories and seven published story collections, some of which were adapted for television and film. She's known for My Prison, and With Clemency. She died on 6 August, 2022.
