He was married to a woman from outside the artistic community, and they had one son (Walid), who acted as a child in the series (Ahlam Niran) directed by him, but he later died of cancer, and they separated after that. He then married the Bahraini actress Sumaya Al-Khanna, who gave birth to a son named (Walid) after his late son. From his works: The Pure-Hearted Fadda, Different Kinds of People and Sara.
