An Iraqi actor and director born in Mosul. He has worked in theater since 1967 as an actor and director. He has received a diploma in Performing Arts in 1975-76. He has worked in several theater groups including theYouth Troupe, the Pioneers Troupe and the National Iraqi Theater Company. He also worked as Head of Drama department at the Iraqi Radio from 1979-85 and was a member of the Central Council of the Artists Syndicate from 1986-1994. He participated in several festivals and won many awards in Iraq, Morocco, and Egypt. Some of his credits include Phobia of Baghdad (2007) and Umm Kulthum (1999).
