Ghassan Salman was born in Homs. He started his career as an actor, then turned to television directing. Among his first directorial works was the film The Prize, written by Talal Nasr El-Din. In a short period of time, he was able to establish himself as a director and actor by...Read more playing several roles, such as that in The Travelers' Night, in addition to directing several distinguished works, including The Law and The Last Illiterate Man. He worked in amateur troupes in Homs until 1977, then joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus and graduated in 1981. He also joined the Artists Syndicate in the same year.
