Biography

An Egyptian writer and journalist, born in Alexandria on July 28, 1935. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University in 1958. He began his career as a journalist in Radio and Television magazine in 1959, then joined Rose al-Yūsuf...Read more magazine in 1961. He issued his first collection of stories in 1960, entitled Chapter 14, after which his literary works followed, such as: Paradise and the Cursed. Abdel Fattah Rizk received a number of awards, most notably the State Incentive Award in Literature, and the Medal of Science and Arts in 1978. Rizk died on February 17, 2003 in Cairo.
