Egyptian playwright, colloquial poet and researcher of Port Said and Egyptian folklore. He was born in Port Said, Egypt on December, 4, 1951. He participated in the 6th of October's War. He was recruited in 1973 and discharged from the army in 1975. He wrote the poem "This Blood Is My Blood." He is known for Ismailia: Back and Forth (1997).
