A Palestinian thinker, born in Nazareth. He was a descendant of the Fahoum family, one of the largest families in Palestine. He grew up between Nazareth and the village of Indur. He joined the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and studied history and education. He began his professional career in the 1950s, as he was a teacher of the Arabic language, and moved between a number of villages and cities. He eventually settled as a teacher in Nazareth, then he was promoted. He became principal of the school in 1975, and remained in his position until he retired in 1995. He's known for Rana's Wedding (2002). He died on July 23, 2009.
