He directed several plays for amateur and professional troupes, most notably The Infatuated Lover, and The Last End. He co-founded the specialized newspaper Our Theater, issued by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces and the Ministry of Culture in Egypt, and was a member of its editorial board and head of the news section since the beginning of its release in July 2007 until August 2009.
