A Syrian director, born on January 5, 1954. He worked as an actor, musician, director, and singer in Student Theater and Cultural Center Theater. He studied Arabic literature at Tishreen University before being sent to Moscow. In 1981, he graduated from the Moscow Film School, where he completed 3 works; Good Night, Old Lesson, and Upside Down. He won several awards, including 6 awards for his film Old Lesson. His other notable films include Verbal Messages and Rising Rain.
