An Egyptian singer and comedian, born in the 1920s. Her parents were both circus performers who sang in local fairs. She began her career in film in the 1950s and lent her voice to actress in many musical numbers in several films including Hind Rostom's song in the film Confessions of a Husband (1964). She also performed in the film Love on Fire (1958) alongside Shadia. She retired after developing chest allergies. She died on 1 January 2014.
