An American filmmaker, born on December 8, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in a Jewish family. In 1972, after she graduated from the American University with a BA in journalism, she started working on public television in Philadelphia. She worked as a production assistant on CBS, and two years later, Meyers focused on screenwriting. She's known for writing, directing and producing famous romantic comedies, including The Holiday (2006), It's Complicated (2009) and The Intern (2015).
