A Canadian-American film director, screenwriter and producer, born on October 19, 1977 in Montreal, Quebec. He is the son of actress Geneviève Robert, and film director Ivan Reitman. After graduating from Harvard-Westlake School in 1995, he attended the University of Southern California, and majored in English/Creative Writing. He started his career by making short films and directing commercials. He made his feature directorial debut in Thank You for Smoking (2005). He was nominated for four Academy Awards for his work in Juno (2007) and Up in the Air (2009). His other credits include Tully, Labor Day, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
