She is an American actress and singer who was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. She first appeared in the children's television series, Barney & Friends in 2002, and later in Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–2012). Gomez has also a successful music career with many hit singles and albums. She later appeared in films such as Another Cinderella Story (2008), Monte Carlo (2011), and Spring Breakers (2012).
