Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress, she was born in Pomona, California on the 28th of April, 1981. Her mother, Catherine, has French Canadian and Danish roots while her father, Mark Alba, is Mexican American. Jessica has described her household while growing up as being...Read more catholic and conservative while she describes herself as liberal. While growing up Jessica suffered from a series of health problems that contributed to her isolation from her peers at school. Upon graduating from high school she enrolled at the Atlantic Theater Company. Although Jessica has been acting since the age of 13, she only rose to prominence as a performer when she assumed the lead role in the television series “Dark Angel”. Since then she has starred in several productions including “Sin City” and “Fantastic Four”. In addition to her Golden Globe nomination for “Dark Angel”, Jessica has won several other awards.
