Lebanese director, show designer, and lyricist, born on January 22, 1930, in the town of Hbaline, Jbeil District. He sought to revive the Lebanese folklore through his theatrical performances and folkloric musical dances, which are still imprinted in the memory of the Lebanese and Arabs. He received his primary education at College Saint Joseph Aintoura, after which he joined Mozarteum University Salzburg to study Interior Design, but his love for theater and opera prompted him to pursue lessons in theater in Italy. His real professional journey began in 1964 when he was asked to prepare a lyrical operetta for Baalbeck International Festival within its program “Lebanese Nights”. He also went to Brussels at the invitation of the royal court to give a concert at the Fine Arts Theatre. He was the first to establish the Permanent Theatre in Lebanon.
