New Zealand director, born on 24 October 1943. He began his career as a cinematographer. His works as a producer include the films Scum (1979) and Black Joy (1977). His TV directorial debut was on the series The Professionals (1977). His most notable works include The Mask of Zorro (1998) and Casino Royale (2006).
