He is a director, writer, and animator, born in 1970 in Cheshire, England. He studied Fine Art at the Chester School of Art and Animation at West Surrey College of Art and Design. He worked for several animation companies. He is best known for directing the animated movies Astro Boy and Flushed Away, and three of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series.
