George Wassoof was born in December 23rd 1961 in Kafroon , Syria. He started singing as a child all the poems and songs he heard in his home. In a school concert a cassette producer heard him sing and saw that he has potential so he decided to record his voice and distribute it. From there his voice spread amongst the art community and the public recognized it and loved it. He was singing in parties, hotels, weddings and many different events. He became famous and moved to Lebanon when he was sixteen. Wassoof attracted many fans and artists to his unusual voice, artists such as George Yazbak and Wadeei El Safi adopted his talent. George became even more famous when he worked with musicians such as Shaker El Moogi, Sayed Mekkawi and Baleeg Hamdy. He started producing songs that were distributed all over the world especially the Middle East and he performed concerts in the USA, Canada and the Middle East.
