Egyptian writer born on 15 March 1939 in Mit Selsil, Dakahliya. He received a BA in Agricultural Economics and pursued his postgraduate studies at the High Institute of Performing Arts. He held several positions in the Ministry of Culture. His works include the series Hamada and Uncle Shafik.
