She is an American author and producer, who was born on December 1, 1958 in Glastonbury, Connecticut. She's best known for her best-selling book "Sex and the City" that was adapted into the HBO hit series Sex and the City (1998–2004) and two subsequent movies. Her other work include Lipstick Jungle (2008-09), and The Carrie Diaries (2013-2014).
