An Iraqi actor, born in Basra. His debut was in the play "The Corpse Exhibition". Among his notable roles are in the series Wahiba's World and the documentary film about the life story of the Greatest Arabian Poet, Muhammad Mahdi al-Jawahiri, whose character he played. He won several awards and accolades, including Best Comedian in Iraq in 1980 from the Iraqi Center for Theater in the Ministry of Culture. He is the first Iraqi actor to receive three international awards in three consecutive years: Best Actor at the Cairo International Festival in 2008, Best Actor at the Carthage International Festival in 2009, and Best Actor at the 3rd International Erfoud Festival in Morocco in 2010.
